- PROTECTION: Universal Energy® protects you from rising prices for the next five (5) years!
- PLUS: "BLEND AND EXTEND": Universal Energy® lets you take advantage of any price changes should they occur in the next five (5) years. You may exercise this option ninety (90) days prior to any anniversary date of customer agreement. Once per year you may "Blend" your price with our current market rate and "Extend" your new price to 5 years to maximize potential savings.
Absolutely no cost to register
There is absolutely no hassle or cost to enroll in the Universal Energy® Price Protection Plus™ Program. Once you sign the Agreement, we will do all the work to get you saving as early as 3 weeks after registering into the program. Your only action after that would be to reaffirm your decision.
We guarantee no retroactive price adjustments
Universal Energy® customers only pay the true protected price commodity charge. Whereas the LDC are able to recover the cost of the commodity if their forecast is incorrect.
You must reaffirm your decision
If a Universal Energy® Agent has presented you with our offer and you consume less than 50,000 cubic metres of natural gas you will be called no less than 10 days after you sign the Agreement in order for you to reaffirm your decision. If you do not reaffirm within 61 days of signing, the Agreement becomes void.
Your Natural Gas delivery
Although you are purchasing your energy from Universal Energy®, your Local Distribution Company (Enbridge or Union Gas) will continue to provide all of your natural gas services, such as 24 hour emergency services and natural gas delivery.
